A Great Run...

Although its massive power the Aztecs was eventual taken down by the infamous Spanish Conquestadors. But the capital city of Tenochtitlan, also had some pre-problems, sadly. The city encountered extremely weird weather, including floods, and even a earthquake!
Let's face it, the Aztecs nearly had no chance of winning the battle between the Conquistadors and the infamous Cortez, the leader of the Spanish Conquistadors, and then they were just recovering from the terrible weather. The attack was a lot like a suprise attack and a cheap shot. After the Conquistadors conquered The Aztecs, after a fight Aztecs aren't people to mess with, even with terrible weather and odds, but they were still conquered for Spain. Like the Mayas the Aztecs were most likely used as slaves, killed if they didn't follow in Christianity, and then the culture was nearly destroyed, but thanks to more modern technology we were able to learn the Aztecs history.

Watch Aztec Massacre on PBS. See more from Secrets of the Dead.

Also like the Mayas the Aztecs still live today, but the culture has been altered for centuries of Conquistador's iron grip. But the history we learn about them has still been spectated, but we still have a pretty great view on this Ancient Civilization's lifestyle, and we should respect how amazing they were, for example you saw what those temples looked like? They built them by hand, literally! We can see how much modern-day citizen's can learn about the peoples of The Aztec.
