Background/ Locations: The Pueblo Indians were American Indians living in compact, apartment-like villages in Northwestern Mexico and Northeastern Arizona. They were Representatives of the Southwest Indian culture area, and as I already stated, they live mostly in Northewestern Mexico and Northeastern Arizona.
Language: They were apart of four distinct language groups, but the customs of the the groups are closely related, oppose the different groups. The eastern villages were along the upper part of the Rio Grande, near Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It also includes the following of San Juan, Santa Clara and Taos, whose inhabitants speak the Kiowa-Tanoan languages. Santo Domingo, Zia, and San Felipe are examples of where the Keresean languages are spoken. The Zuni speak their own language, and as for the Hopi, who are farther west, they speak a Uto- Aztecan language, which is distantly related to Nahuatl.
